Clear Aligners for a Straighter Smile

Straighten your teeth with clear, removable aligners and a digital plan that shows you where your smile is headed.

What it is

Straighter teeth without braces.

Clear aligner treatment uses clear, removable aligners to move your teeth gradually into place. If you have crooked, gapped or crowded teeth and would rather not wear metal braces, it may be a good fit.

The aligners are nearly invisible, and because you take them out to eat, drink and brush, daily life stays simple. We use 3D imaging and digital treatment planning, so you see the planned path of your teeth before you begin.

Treatment time

It depends on your case.

Your exam decides which approach suits your teeth, and we give you an estimate after it.

The process

How treatment works.

  1. Consultation and scan

We examine your teeth and gums and take digital impressions, so there is no messy putty.

  2. Digital treatment plan

3D planning maps how your teeth will move, step by step. You see the planned result before you start.

  3. Custom aligners

Your aligners are made for you. You switch to a new set on schedule, and each set moves your teeth a little further.

  4. Check-ins and retention

We monitor your progress at regular visits. When treatment ends, a retainer helps keep your teeth where they are.

Day to day

Living with aligners.

Wear them, and keep them clean

Aligners work only when you wear them, so most patients keep them in for the majority of the day and night, and remove them to eat and drink anything other than water. Brush before putting them back in, and clean the aligners as directed.

Thinking ahead

Straight teeth are also easier to clean, which supports long-term gum health. If you are thinking about veneers or other cosmetic work, aligning your teeth first can make that work simpler. We plan the order with you.

Common questions

Clear aligner questions.

How do clear aligners work?

A series of clear aligners, each a little different, gently moves your teeth over time according to a digital plan made for you.

How long does treatment take?

It depends on your case. Minor adjustments may take around 6 to 7 months, while more complex cases typically take 12 to 18 months. We give you an estimate after your exam.

Are the aligners comfortable?

They are smooth and removable. You may feel pressure for a day or two when you switch to a new set, which is normal.

Can I eat with aligners in?

No. Take them out to eat and drink anything besides water, then brush before putting them back.

How often do I wear them?

Most of the day and night, as directed by your dentist. Aligners only work when they are in.

Are there any restrictions?

Mainly wearing them as directed and keeping them clean. Not every case can be treated with aligners, and your exam will tell us whether they are right for you.

How much do clear aligners cost?

It depends on your case and the length of treatment. We give you a written estimate. See insurance and financing.
